Flanked by Worli on its southern end and Bandra Reclamation to the north, Mahim lies along the Arabian Sea. Actively used by local inhabitants for exhibitions, fairs, and other events, the beach was named after the islands of Mahim and Salsette, which were merged in the early nineteenth century.
