Public education through storytelling can influence policy and create real social change. Join Dharavi Diary as they share their short film, talk about their initiative, and explain how they push the boundaries of filmmaking by trying to make a difference on a grassroots level.
Dharavi Diary is a slum innovation project fusing entrepreneurship and storytelling. The basic premise is that people in poverty practice jugaad—best translated as a quick fix or workaround—out of necessity. Dharavi Diary’s goal is to enable more entrepreneurs in poor communities by developing their jugaad skills so they can improve their income opportunities.
